We’re looking for an ambitious and hard-working professional to join our Product Development Team in the role of Product Manager -Product Development (International).
This new role will be responsible for leading a portfolio of international projects to deliver new cannabis products to emerging medical cannabis markets, including Australia, Poland, the United Kingdom, Germany, among others. Aurora’s core purpose is to “open the world to cannabis”, and this role will play a dynamic and critical role in serving this mandate. The successful candidate will report directly to the Senior PM, Product Development, and work with Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain and Logistics, Regulatory and Quality teams across the business to deliver products to patients across the globe.
As a Project Manager, Product Development (International) , you will be responsible to….
- Claim ownership over a specific portfolio of strategic projects from end-to-end; identify the critical path and go/no-go milestones and manage the projects through a rigorous stage-gated process to success or failure.
- Benchmark Aurora’s innovation pipeline, develop key performance indicators, set targets and measure and report on performance.
- Implement agile project management techniques to enable timely decision-making and pivots as required to respond to internal and external factors.
- Liaise with and support Regulatory Affairs and Quality teams to fully scope project from these perspectives and ensure market-specific requirements are addressed.
- Lead an inter-departmental team of stakeholders to ensure projects are set up for success within the organization, both from a compliance and routine operations perspective.
- When projects are done in partnership or outsourced to third parties, manage all aspects of the relationships to keep projects on time and on budget and to ensure strong collaboration with transparent communication along the way.
- Communicate with all internal and external stakeholders throughout projects; all changes to timelines, project scopes or specifications should be clear to all involved.
- On-going reporting of the complete project pipeline, completing reports for general corporate updates, senior leadership, and the Board of Directors; the Senior PM will work with their counterparts to define consistent reporting metrics and formats to support clear communication throughout the organization.
- Utilize the available project management tools to projects to ensure consistent sustainable processes.
- Keep all dashboards and other tools up to date to provide visibility to all project stakeholders.
- Consolidate master data required for all product launches, and feed that information to the relevant stakeholders and into the relevant systems.
- When challenges are encountered, escalate issues through established channels to avoid unexpected delays or failures.
- Notwithstanding the longer lead times required to negotiate the complex regulatory and legal regimes, coordinate all necessary resources to ensure timely delivery of projects – be solutions-oriented to resolve any and all issues which may impact the successful (and timely) completion of integrations projects.
- Ensure that all project resources are adhering to proper governance (documentation, tools, best practices, etc).
- Report on project metrics to keep project stakeholders and senior management informed.
