We’re searching for an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Manager
, Consumer Sales to oversee the provinces of Ontario and Manitoba. In this role, you will be responsible for developing strategic sales plans, establishing and sourcing company sales and initiating sales growth as we expand our business in our Central region. You will focus on developing relationships with key stakeholders within the industry to help promote and maximize Aurora’s sales goals and collaborate with our remarkable team of cannabis enthusiasts to do it.


This position will provide you with the opportunity to grow within our team and depending on the candidate, we may consider this role at the Director level instead of Senior Manager upon hire. As the Senior Manager, Consumer Sales you will…

  • Build senior level relationships with provincial cannabis boards and partners in Ontario and Manitoba
  • Work closely with Category Management and Marketing teams to build product pitches and secure listings for new launches through provincial and key accounts
  • Identify opportunities to further promote Aurora products with our provincial partners by managing the weekly sale process and collaborating with key stakeholders to capitalize
  • Support portfolio and pricing management by providing feedback on provincial goals and recommendations to optimize assortment mix and price
  • Design objectives and implement best-in-class sales strategies (including sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes) in alignment with overall corporate planning cycles and objectives
  • Manage, support, and develop internal sales resources as well as external agency resources to drive efficiency and productivity
  • Prepare monthly reports for key internal stakeholders identifying sales trends, opportunities, challenges, and competitive analysis
  • Recommend sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analysis, plan and conduct sales presentations and manage various initiatives to ensure timely delivery of project milestones
  • Review sales results to ensure established targets are being achieved and take corrective action where required, including revising strategies, revisiting external agency’s regional performance objectives, dealing with specific performance problems, and other actions required to achieve projected targets
  • Perform in-field market visits to ensure Aurora distribution and execution objectives are being met at least twice a month
  • Support key account and chain business relationships in the region in collaboration with Aurora’s key account manager and sales agency provincial key account manager to grow sales and distribution in the market
  • Collaborate with Brand Ambassadors to expand categories through education of bud tenders, consumers, and buyers, create and execute “PK” product knowledge sessions and develop new opportunities and partnerships to drive sales


As an experienced professional, you will have…

  • A minimum of 8 years of sales management experience within a manufacturing or production environment (these credentials appear to match the candidate profile we are looking for but we’re ready to be convinced otherwise)
  • Previous working experience with successful new market development strategies
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Marketing, or applicable fields, such as a master’s degree, would be an asset
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
