Loss Prevention Officer


Aurora Cannabis seeking a self-driven individual to join the Security team in a full time Loss Prevention Officer position in Saskatoon.




  • Perform interior/ exterior patrols according to SOPs, including: checking cameras, ensuring other staff following security protocols, and monitoring front gate for entering/ exiting staff, contractors, and visitors
  • Follow and understand all documentation procedures and SOPs to GMP standards
  • Sign in/out all visitors, new staff, and contractors, including: assigning badges, assigning security clearances, and filling out proper documentation
  • Unarming/ Unlocking doors for staff/contractors/deliveries (advising shipping of deliveries)
  • Filling out deviation reports, following all SOPs in regard to alarms, liaising with Alarm company, signing out keys, and disarming/arming doors as requests by A/RPICs or SPICs
  • Answer phones in security office
  • Maintain good communication with all departments
  • Assist staff with functions such as finding someone, or passing on messages
  • Attend and participate in meetings as required
  • Travel for training and support at other company owned locations may be required




  • 3+ years’ experience in the security industry is preferred
  • Provincial Security Guard license/certificate is considered an asset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Class 5 drivers license
  • Ability to manage stress well
  • Knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada is considered an asset
  • Minimum high school education or equivalence
  • Must be willing and able to work the following schedule:
    • 12-hour shifts; 7:00 to 7:00; 7days on 7days off Night Shift (May transition to a day/night rotation)
