Shipping and Receiving Associate                                           

Aurora Cannabis Inc. is seeking self-driven individual to join the Shipping & Receiving team in a permanent, full-time position in Saskatoon. Reporting to the Distribution manager, the S&R Associate will assist with all shipping and receiving duties and tasks on site. This person must be able adaptable, possess a desire to learn, and can work under tight deadlines.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Process, package and ship orders accurately and in a timely fashion;
  • Organization of stock, parts and inventory shelves, including labeling, maintenance, and documentation;
  • Maintain and monitor inventory levels to provide timely and accurate purchase order requirements;
  • Assist in controlling inventory levels by conducting monthly physical counts; reconciling with Inventory Management System;
  • Provide required reports relating to inventory and delivery issues;
  • Process domestic and International shipments with all required paperwork necessary for customs;
  • Inspect products for defects and damages;
  • Examine inbound and outbound shipments;
  • Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures;
  • Keep warehouse clean and organized daily;
  • Weekly deliveries of supplies to onsite facilities;

 

Qualifications

  • Completion of High School Diploma.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working in inventory and shipping & Receiving. Logistics or inventory control background considered an asset;
  • Must possess good organizational skills;
  • Knowledge of custom laws and regulations for exporting goods;
  • Experience with ERP system and shipping software would be an asset;
  • Must be able to establish a good working relationship with team members, delivery couriers, and other stakeholders;
  • Strong Attention to detail;
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds;
  • Must have a valid class 5 drivers license;

Working Conditions

  • Must conform to production safety rules while in the production and shipping areas
  • Work is performed in an environment where irritants such as noise from telephones, temperature and lighting variations may exist
  • Work will be performed in an area where safety boots are required.
