ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR, BC Northern Lights (BCNL)

 

Aurora Cannabis Inc. is currently looking for an ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR, BCNL, to work with our Industrial Design team in the fast-paced cannabis industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of day-to-day office administration tasks for the subsidiary.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and perform office related responsibilities including ordering supplies and processing walk-in customer orders
  • Prepare reports, memos and documents
  • Compose, review and follow through on internal and external communication with a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
  • Maintain paper and electronic filing system
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail (manually and/or electronically) and procurement paperwork
  • Manage calendars, meetings and appointments
  • Prepare and submit expense reports
  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, supporting material and minutes
  • Organize and coordinate special events and projects as required
  • Support related projects and assist with research as required
  • Support with meeting and travel arrangements including accommodations, flights, transportation, etc.
  • Assist other team members with various tasks on an ad hoc basis
  • Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time

 

Commitment and engagements may extend beyond regular office hours and, although this role generally does not require significant overtime, there are times when it will be necessary to provide support beyond regular office hours across multiple time zones throughout Canada and the world.

 

Travel may be required.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks would be considered an asset
  • Proficiency in the use of computer software for word processing, spreadsheets, email and internet
  • Familiarity with office equipment such as photocopier, scanner, etc.
  • Strong work ethic, highly motivated and enjoys a challenge
  • Detail conscious and result oriented
  • High level of professionalism, integrity and ethics
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and ability to exercise independent judgement
  • Enjoys a multi-faceted and dynamic work environment
  • Able to prioritize and be flexible, while maintaining efficiency
  • Ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certificate or diploma in Administration or related field is considered an asset
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in an Office Administrator role
  • Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams operating in a fast-paced, innovation driven environment
  • Ability to work with discretion and maturity with minimal supervision and absolute confidentiality
  • Ability to work under tight timelines and balance multiple projects
  • Public company experience preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of the emerging cannabis industry would be considered an asset
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset
