Aurora Cannabis is seeking an ambitious and self-directed individual to join our team as Intermediate Print Production Artist, Packaging. This position will require a keen aptitude for layout, design ability, an eye for detail, and computer application(s) expertise to create/produce final design on a wide range of packaging projects, while simultaneously supporting the packaging department, within brand marketing’s core objectives.



  • Execute on core packaging objectives by way of development, and maintenance of new and current packaging and label creative adhering to Canadian Cannabis Regulations and consumer packaged goods
  • Provide brand stewardship through development of packaging creative and production, using individual brand guidelines and standards
  • Maintain a consistent high level of accuracy, quality, and thoroughness
  • Work on multiple projects effectively and efficiently, using a detail-oriented approach to workflow in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to follow various projects to completion throughout all stages of design and version development
  • Produce multiple extensions of branded packaging components that maintain consistency throughout execution
  • Produce technically correct, print-ready mechanicals for release to print
  • Collaborate, and effectively communicate with creative, production, and brand marketing groups
  • Produce with a minimum of direction and supervision
  • Review and proof artwork to verify quality, technical thoroughness, accuracy and adherence to all known standards
  • Understand the requirements and limitations of the various types of packaging formats and label printing, and identify opportunities for efficiencies while effectively problem solving for best in class results
  • Support brand marketing team in execution of digital mock-ups to meet sales and provincial requirements
  • Manages and maintains all final file outputs in organized and controlled fashion ensuring version control and sign off forms are accurately saved
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
  • Overall Quality assurance and control
  • Other duties as required.



  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in graphic design or related discipline, preferably in Consumer Packaged Goods
  • A degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or related technical discipline
  • Thorough understanding of the print production process and graphic reproduction techniques
  • Strong typographic and layout skills
  • Proficient in the use of Mac OS, Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to handle multiple projects from inception to completion, often with shifting deadlines
  • Meet deadlines, follow priorities, maintain a high level of personal responsibility
  • Be extremely proactive in keeping projects moving, through the follow up and/or resolution of any roadblocks
  • Independent decision-making, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills.
