We’re looking for a talented professional to plant their roots with us as our newest Manager, Consumer Experience. In this role, you will be responsible for defining parameters of consumer preference and elevating Aurora’s diverse set of products to meet quality targets. You will report into our Vice President, Product Development, and work directly with our category teams to ensure that our new product launches meet and exceed the expectations of our customers. This role requires a strong set of skills to manage quality-focused projects from start to finish, including the implementation of data-driven solutions, to ensure successful outcomes. Here is a preview of what you’ll do… 

  • Work with the Commercial teams/channels to understand product concepts and define consumer/patient expectations for products in the pipeline
  • Assist each Category Team (Flower & Pre-Roll; Vapes & Concentrates; Edibles, Oils & Other) with developing stage-gate exit criteria for each project and execute required trials to validate the specific attributes
  • Utilize various tools, including internal and external in-person and trained sensory panels, focus groups, and online surveys to meet project-specific goals
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance, to ensure all activities are compliant and documented in accordance with Aurora’s policies
  • Ensure final products align with target specifications by distilling product specs and communicating to the Operations Team and internal stakeholders
  • Review Aurora’s product portfolios to ensure products continue to meet the consumer/patient expectations
  • Identify, report, and resolve any potential issues if a product is falling short of meeting the consumer/patient need 
  • Support Operations by validating the impacts of proposed operational changes on overall consumer preference attributes before they are implemented
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback to sites; regularly evaluate product quality and sensory attributes and flag emerging issues
  • Monitor industry trends among competitors and use the information to inform the evolution for product specifications at Aurora
     

Here is what you need to be successful… 

  • A Bachelor’s of Science, Food Science or Engineering
  • PMP designation or equivalent certification would be an asset
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a program/project management capacity (we would also welcome an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)
  • Previous work experience in a production environment specifically in the cannabis, pharmaceutical or food manufacturing industries
  • Passion for the cannabis plant, the products it supports, and the industry as a whole
