MANGER, MEDICAL INSIGHTS

Our Global Research and Insights team leverages existing and custom research to support, guide and frame key strategic business decisions across the broader organization.   

Reporting to the Director of Global Research and Insights, the Manager of Medical Insights will use their strong business acumen and expertise in market research to provide strategic insight and oversee core Insights programs for the medical business.  They will also possess a solid background and understanding of large data sets with the ability to manipulate, analyze, interpret key findings to formulate insightful narratives.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the successful execution of medical focused research initiatives that include Healthcare Practitioners, Pharmacy, Wellness and Nutraceuticals markets.
  • Leverage secondary research sources to triangulate medical insights more accurately
  • Oversee and coordinate research for our Patient journey and Experience programs
  • Champion the medical segmentation model to internalize and foster strategic alignment and planning
  • Present key research findings with the ability to socialize in a clear, consistent and effective manner to all stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with Medical Market teams to gain alignment on research KPIs and meet defined targets and core objectives
  • Support the medical market development team with insights programs and initiatives to build and retain market share
  • Provide guidance and direction on research best practices to the global medical team
  • Leverage research data and results to formulate sound recommendations and champion the implementation and execution to meet business needs
  • Ability to leverage (BI) Business Intelligence and research findings to build a cohesive narrative of patient data
  • Effectively maintain patient panel to strategically complement existing research methods
  • Oversee direct report(s) as required

  • Must be able to work in a very fast-paced environment and multi-task projects
  • Possesses strong analytical and interpretive skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to generate meaningful insight from raw data and summarize into findings
  • Create actionable and executable insight that will impact business goals and KPIs
  • Demonstrated ability to create insightful narratives from research findings to influence critical business decisions
  • Advanced skills and practices in research methodology, questionnaire design & writing, analysis and interpretation of results through to preparation of reports
  • Possesses an inquisitive mind-set continually looking to create efficiencies with emphasis on process improvement

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/ Business, Marketing, Sciences or equivalent degree – advanced degree or MBA is considered an asset.
  • 5+ years minimum work experience in Pharmaceuticals and/or health and wellness
  • Knowledge of HCP ecosystem, Advisory boards, CIHI, IQVIA (IMI) data sources   
  • People-manager skills with emphasis on leadership, mentorship and professional development
  • Advanced Excel and PPT and relational database (Access/SQL) skills, experience with SPSS is desirable
  • Client and supplier experience in market research considered an asset
  • Some travel required
