Manager, Provincial Accounts, Ontario


Reporting to the Regional Director, Consumer Sales, the Manager, Provincial Accounts, Ontario will be responsible for all aspects of our success with our provincial partners. The scope of this role includes, but is not limited to, the following:



  • Being a key stakeholder in identifying new product development and pricing opportunities in our provincial portfolios
  • Using sources including customer feedback, data analytics and sales reports to assess and recommend sales development opportunities including what products to introduce, at what volumes and when
  • Assess and capitalize on non-product business development opportunities within each province that could increase ROI, expand sales channels, increase market share
  • Develop strong, mutually-beneficial relationships with provincial partners
  • Prepare monthly reports for key internal stakeholders identifying sales trends, opportunities, challenges, competitive analysis
  • Identify opportunities to further promote Aurora products with our provincial partners including: promotional programming, social responsibility opportunities, and work with Aurora departments including marketing, field reps and social responsibility to execute
  • Portfolio and Pricing Management – optimizing assortment mix and pricing calendars.  Ensuring right product at the right place, time and price.
  • Allocate high-demand, supply constrained products through working with the demand and supply planning group
  • Build senior level relationships (C-level; Director, VP) within existing client accounts and new prospect organizations
  • Professionally and effectively communicate solutions to existing customers and new prospects through presentations, written proposals, RFP responses and regular business correspondence
  • Investigates, researches and seeks information that will lead to a successful sales strategy that creates a selling advantage for a targeted opportunity



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 5 + years of account management in a consumer goods industry
  • Experience with sales strategy in a consumer-packaged goods environment is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with sales strategy including:
    • Using multiple data surces to recommend products to bring to market
    • Prtfolio management including product and pricing optimization
    • Using data and analytics t make decisions on product life cycles
  • Demonstrated account management experience including:
    • Frecasting and managing supply and demand
    • Relatinship management
    • Develping and presenting sales and product pitches
  • Understanding of the Canadian beverage alcohol or cannabis distribution models is preferred
  • Experience in business development opportunities through working with provincial beverage alcohol distributors to amend their non-product policies and programs is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt; maintain focus and a high degree of accuracy while working with complex data in an environment of ever-changing deadlines, priorities and requirements
  • Results-oriented, process driven leader

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office and follow-up skills; highly organized and detail oriented
  • Accountable for results, strives to meet and exceed expectations
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
