Reporting to the Market Intelligence Manager, the Market Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for the following:



  • Provide support to Manager in ongoing data acquisition and intelligence gathering projects
  • Conduct data analysis and reporting on market trends and market shifts in industry as well as competitive and customer intelligence
  • Stay current with industry trends and market/ competitor news
  • Assess and acquire new data sources relevant to the industry from both public and private sources
  • Apply statistical rigour to sample data to assess statistical confidence and reliability
  • Produce commentary based on data analysis to provide market intelligence and actionable recommendations relating to potential market development activities
  • Maintain collaborative working relationships with multiple teams across the organization to understand the business landscape and to share information



  • Strong business acumen and solid analytical, financial modelling skills
  • Strong understanding of statistics and application to large public datasets
  • Understanding of finance and business-related concepts
  • High level of detail orientation and focus on data accuracy
  • Self-starter and knowledge of economics and market data sources
  • Strong technical skills in financial modelling and statistical techniques e.g. SPSS, SAS, R, Python scripting
  • Very strong communication skills and customer and process-orientation
  • Agility to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to juggle multiple projects and pivot based on changes in priorities



  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/ Business, Marketing, Finance, Statistics, Economics or related field required
  • 3-5 years of experience in related field
  • Self-starter who truly enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative environment
  • Assertive team player, ability to positively influence without direct authority to drive deliverables
  • Experience in regulated and medical products industries preferred (e.g. alcohol, tobacco, pharmaceuticals)
  • Experience working with unstructured datasets and disparate data sources
  • A proven track record of managing complex data-driven projects, collecting and synthesizing information into meaningful conclusions
