Reporting to the Analytics Manager – Recreational Markets, the Sales Analyst will be responsible for the following:



  • Duties include analysis in consumer sales, market performance, competitive positioning, costing, revenue & margin modelling, segmentation, pricing and forecasting to uncover insights and quantifiable opportunities
  • Organize, cleanse & generate large datasets from disparate internal and external data sources; support data analysis and reporting initiatives
  • Build, test, analyze and translate data into relevant and actionable insights that will drive revenue growth
  • Support data driven decision-making by gathering key information and building reports that effectively communicate complex topics to a variety of audiences.
  • Routinely analyzes sales, competitor offerings, market trends, and other key data in order to identify emerging trends and strategic opportunities
  • Provide subject matter expertise within the department and to business partners on available data sources and the appropriate methodology for conducting analysis
  • Conduct external industry research and write reports as required - combine external research (industry news, market trends, economic indicators) with internal knowledge to generate new insights about market trends
  • Assist with the research and analysis of key business opportunities in both domestic and foreign markets

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or related discipline, and four years related experience as a data analyst or within a sales or marketing capacity.
  • Superior knowledge of Excel is essential; working knowledge of Power BI, SQL, and/or Tableau an asset
  • Acute attention to details and demonstratable experience in data testing, quality and accuracy
  • Experience gathering data from external sources to supplement datasets & analyses.
  • High level written and verbal communication skills. Must have experience communicating insights derived from analyses and building business cases around them.
  • Broad knowledge and excellent understanding of a range of business intelligence concepts and common business functions and practices, including but not limited to revenue recognition, pricing, competitive set definition and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt; maintain focus and a high degree of accuracy while working with complex data in an environment of ever-changing deadlines, priorities and requirements
