SALES ANALYST - MEDICAL MARKET (Based in Toronto Office)

Reporting to the Analytics Manager – Medical Markets, the Sales Analyst will be responsible for the following:



  • Produce timely and relevant sales analysis, reporting and insights for the medical market segment
  • Support development of KPIs and new performance metrics and reporting with appropriate documentation of methodology and requirements
  • Conduct scalable sales and product analysis and reporting to enable performance measurement, monitoring, decision-making and forecasting
  • Duties include sales, costing and modelling, segmentation, trending, budgeting, pricing, market forecasting and ROI analysis to uncover new insights and opportunities
  • Manage and organize large datasets from disparate information sources; support data analysis and reporting initiatives
  • Recommend and design data processing and reporting improvements
  • Conduct external industry research and write reports as required - combine external research (industry news, commodity market trends, economic indicators) with internal knowledge to generate new insights about market trends
  • Collaborate with external partners to retrieve, verify and exchange data and information

  • Knowledge of business process, research methodologies, forecasting and modelling, commodity markets
  • Advanced Excel and database skills + MS Office applications experience
  • Advanced analytics and customer value segmentation modelling and insights preferred
  • Experience with Tableau, MS Power BI, SAP BW, BOBJ or other large BI platforms or research tools is an asset
  • Customer service and process-driven
  • Attention to details and strong focus on information quality and accuracy

  • Strong adaptability to changing environments and priorities



  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or related discipline, and 3 - 5 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Superior knowledge of Excel and data modelling techniques
  • Work experience as a data analyst or in a related field
  • Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software and solution recommendations
  • Demonstrated experience in handling large dataset and relational databases
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt; maintain focus and a high degree of accuracy while working with complex data in an environment of changing priorities and requirements
