Reporting to the Manager, Investor Relations, the Investor Relations Associate (Journalist) will be responsible for presenting a consistently applied investment message to the investment community on behalf of Aurora.  The primary responsibility of the role will be writing, editing, and distributing compelling press releases across various distribution outlets both domestically and internationally.  There will also be strong focus on client relationship management, client specific reporting, communicating with investors and other internal and external parties. This role will appeal to a highly motivated, self-starter who thrives in a fast paced, challenging and collaborative environment.



  • Prepare, write and edit various press releases and investor content regarding acquisitions, financials and various other investor news pertaining to the company
  • Support preparation of a wide-range of investor communications materials such as investor presentations, fact sheets, quarterly and annual reports, speaker notes, etc.
  • Manage the production and publication of investor relations content for the corporate website
  • Contribute to the implementation of the investor relations strategy and plan
  • Handle contact with investors via phone or email relaying information and coordinating requests and responses; Triage and direct questions to appropriate corporate spokesperson
  • Prepare and circulate monthly reports and corporate updates to the Senior Management and/or Board of Directors
  • Make recommendations to support an effective and efficient flow of information to all Aurora stakeholders
  • Maintain database of investors, meeting minutes and all related communication
  • Assist with various projects as assigned



  • Advanced oral and written communication skills; strong command of the English language (grammar, punctuation, vocabulary)
  • Proficient in press release writing; ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and impactful investor content etc. (you may be required to provide writing samples)
  • Bilingual (English & French) preferred
  • Ability to self-direct work and be a proactive learner
  • Detail oriented, with superior organizational skills and the ability to prioritize a high volume of tasks and competing priorities and adhere to strict deadlines
  • The ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Client centered approach with the commitment to providing outstanding client service
  • Knowledge of company organization, structure, business processes, etc.
  • Willingness to take on tasks as needed



  • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant IR experience
  • A minimum of 3 years’ in writing press releases
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant discipline
  • Experience with financial reporting and studying the financial markets daily; ability to understand the reports to convey the same information to external investor is considered an asset
