About the role

We're searching for an experienced professional to lead our Medical division in the role of Senior Vice President, Canadian Medical (SVP). As the SVP, Canadian Medical, you will be a leader in e-commerce and customer experience, marketing analytics, relationship management and running a P&L business. As the number one medical cannabis company in Canada, you will play a key role in maintaining this position and moving the business forward, ensuring we provide a top-tier patient experience while continuing to grow the channel.


Reporting to the CEO, you will be a key member of the Aurora leadership team and will represent our values while leading with integrity and a strong passion for the team and patient experience. You will wear various hats including leading the end-to-end direct-to-consumer channel as well as the Client Care Centre; Relationship Management of key partners and clinics, Product Optimization; and patient outreach. As the SVP, Canadian Medical you will... 

  • Manage the P&L with responsibility towards the direct-to-consumer strategy and operations
  • Oversee all aspects of the end-to-end user experience including the ecommerce site and Client Care Centre
  • Leverage analytics and a strong understanding of financial metrics to track selling, identify key trends and KPIs and maximize opportunities to achieve growth and profitability in the channel
  • Build cross-functional relationships with IT, Consumer, Marketing, Operations & Supply Chain, ensuring alignment on the Medical priorities
  • Facilitate portfolio optimization
  • Lead the cross functional Canadian Medical team
  • Partner with the Consumer, Operations, and the Innovation team on product development
  • Collaborate with IT to enhance the ecommerce site, moving the user experience forward
  • Develop marketing strategies whilst navigating a highly regulated industry
  • Drive change by fostering a winning culture that elevates business performance while driving team engagement
  • Communicate strategy and inspire commitment across the teams
  • Serve as an enterprise leader across the organization
  • Partner with the International Medical team on best practices


As an experienced professional, you will have... 

  • ​A proven track record with at least 15 years of progressive leadership in marketing and ecommerce, with the last five years working at a senior level in the organization
  • Extensive experience running a P&L business with a proven growth record
  • Exceptional digital and analytical skills supported by your successful segmentation and customer lifecycle management experience
  • Previous experience working in regulated industries such as CPG or Pharma is preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to serve as an ambassador for the organization
  • Strong relationship and consensus building skills
  • A track record of hiring, leading, and training high-performance teams
  • Excellent leadership skills with a passion for driving employee engagement and development
  • Ability to navigate change and a fast-paced environment with agility and speed
