TRADE MARKETING COORDINATOR

 

The Trade Marketing Coordinator role ensures that all marketing materials in the territory are compliant and meet brand standards. This role works with many internal and external stakeholders and will be responsible for successful rollouts supporting new campaigns, activations and product launches in partnership with our many retail partners.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Support Sales & Marketing with developing and carrying out existing and new marketing initiatives to ensure brand integrity is maintained and deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate with the sales team to turn each request into an actionable design brief for internal and external agencies.
  • Ensure that all provincial assets, including e-commerce assets and media libraries, are up to date, updating product description as required.
  • Ensure that all marketing collateral is developed on time and on budget.
  • Entry of invoices and tracking against the provincial Trade Marketing budget. Providing updates to the Trade Marketing team as needed.
  • Maintenance of day to day updates and changes to individual retail trade plans as provided by the sales team.
  • Stay at the leading edge of industry trends to create innovative marketing assets and strategies.

  • Generate and analyze market research data, maintain CRM and other sales support tools.
  • Develop reports on our marketing performance against sales and competitor activity including prices, product sales and sales campaigns, as well as marketing and distribution methods, to generate effective promotional forecasting and planning, and post-promotion analysis to measure promotional effectiveness.
  • Work alongside provincial District Managers to develop a strategic approach to trade marketing.
  • Organize and manage Aurora-hosted speaking engagements, lunch & learns and trade events.
  • Manage allocations to sales team and support materials for training & events.
  • Support the development and maintenance of new Trade Marketing team processes.
  • Become a trusted resource on product knowledge for our sales team and retail partners.
  • Incumbent must be able to modify his/her approach and re-prioritize accordingly as the provincial requirements change.
  • Successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining good working relationships with internal/external stakeholders and Identify areas of opportunity to improve process & communication flow with Sales & Marketing etc.
  • Other marketing/admin duties as required.
  • Some travel is required.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • A recent graduate with a College or University degree, Business or Marketing preferred.
  • A demonstrated interest in the Sales/Marketing field, with some experience being an asset
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Ability to balance and manage multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Very organized and strong project management skills
  • Be proficient in the Microsoft suite of office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Previous Cannabis and/or Retail marketing experience will be considered an asset but not mandatory.
  • Bilingualism is preferred (English and French)
