Aurora is recruiting a Vice President, Marketing to join our unique environment, developing marketing and service policies, systems and programs to support strategic direction and the alignment of business plans with organizational objectives. The successful candidate will partner with the management team to ensure the best possible service and effective communications to company customers.




  • Overall responsibilities for all consumer and medical marketing;
  • Lead a team that includes but is not limited to shared services, medical and consumer brand management and research;
  • Have a deep understanding of the business, brands products, services, channels and key audiences (e.g. customers and influencers);
  • Involved in setting strategic direction and establishing near term goals for offerings;
  • Responsible for development and maintenance of brand portfolio inclusive of current and future consumer and medical brands in addition to corporate elements of the portfolio;
  • Support the adoption and use of standard tools and process (e.g. creative brief);
  • Provide input into product innovation pipeline;
  • Expand the use of marketing data analytics to improve reach, awareness and consideration;
  • Improve the quality and impact of data, creating measurements and relevant reporting strategies;
  • Frame up and drive complex business problems and develop/deliver the best analysis/solutions to meet organizational objectives. Come up with convincing and easy options to understand business rationale and financial justification relative to each opportunity;
  • Manages the headcount planning and recruitment process to ensure an optimal marketing organization structure aligned to business priorities;
  • Manage and lead a high-performance marketing team, harnessing their passions and talents, and setting their KPIs to measure and coach on performance;
  • Manages large teams and/or work efforts through both direct and dotted-line reporting relationships;
  • Develops customer segmentation strategies, customer journey maps, and other customer insight initiatives;
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize business processes, and continuously identify new opportunities to leverage analytics to improve our ongoing operations and to develop new products, services, and other revenue drivers;
  • Uses knowledge of business and data to discover and/or anticipate problems and opportunities where data can be leveraged to address the need;
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to develop a cohesive and comprehensive understanding of our key business drivers;
  • Assesses and develops operational activities to lead internal partners through continuous improvement / transformation efforts;
  • Build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain communication with executive leadership; Interacts with senior management levels which involves negotiating or influencing on significant matters;
  • Has latitude in decision-making and determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments;
  • Demonstrates ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex information to a variety of audiences;
  • Produce strategic partnership reviews for the executive team and board presentations;
  • Lead the planning, execution, and measurement of marketing strategies and activities supporting the business’ defined goals;
  • Build and maintain relationships with key partners to plan and execute co-marketing programs designed to generate leads for the partners, and strengthen the partner relationships;
  • May contribute to the development of policies and procedures;
  • May act as a mentor to colleagues.





  • Master’s degree in business administration, marketing or related field
  • Experience in marketing management in a manufacturing or production environment
  • 8+ years of marketing management experience
  • Financial Management experience is a must
  • Leadership skills and qualities
  • Project Management experience is considered an asset
