Job summary

 

We are searching for a dynamic professional to join our Medical Sales Division as our newest Bilingual Nurse Practitioner, reporting into the Director of Clinical Operations.  The Bilingual Nurse Practitioner will conduct assessments in French and English to determine patient eligibility for medical cannabis. Once eligibility criteria have been verified, the Nurse Practitioner will authorize medical documents for medical cannabis.  Sound interesting? Here is a little more…

 

  As the Bilingual Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Review patient charts and patient intake forms prior to patient consultations.
  • Conduct patient assessments to determine the eligibility of patients for medical cannabis.
  • Assist in all aspects of care for patients participating in medical cannabis evaluations by video conference or telephone.
  • Provide information to patients pertaining to the benefits and side effects of medical cannabis.
  • Complete medical documents for medical cannabis authorizations.
  • Complete patient treatment plans and consultation notes after each patient appointment.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow the code of conduct as per the College of Nurses of Ontario

 

You’re the ideal candidate if you have…

 

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Completion of Prescribing Narcotics and Controlled Substances (CPD) course
  • 2 years experience as Nurse Practitioner

 

Bonus Points if you also have …

 

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills in French and English
  • Experience using an Electronic Medical Records system
  • Well-developed presentation skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Windows-based software applications
