change management strategies for IT initiatives to ensure solutions and deliverables exceed business requirements. As the Manager, IT Change and Communications, your portfolio will be…

Governance:

  • Design and lead the change management methodology for all IT initiatives including impact assessment, change management strategy, training, communications, business readiness assessment and user experience
  • Initiate, plan and execute on the end-to-end delivery of change management activities and deliverables throughout the lifecycle for assigned initiatives in alignment with the change management strategy and business objectives
  • Support a diverse range of stakeholders and communicate effectively assessing potential change processes and diverse audience issues and objectives
  • Lead a team of change managers and coordinators who are assigned to programs/projects as required

 

Communications:

  • Manage overall communications strategies and plans to support Information technology initiatives, ensuring right messages to the right audience at the right time
  • Lead and manage team, stakeholder, and end user communications to ensure they are aware of changes impacting IT dynamics
  • Coordinate monthly reporting of change management scorecard, ensuring visibility at a senior leadership level, including systems adoption to support continuous improvement

 

Training:

  • Design training strategies, plans, sessions, and workshops for all levels of the organization to support IT systems and initiatives
  • Provide oversight for content development for all systems training materials, presentations, end user guides, quick reference guides and other related materials
  • Lead the growth of our training bench capabilities, and certify practitioners including Train the Trainer SuperUser program to drive business ownership and accountability for systems adoption
  • Use knowledge, experience of products and adult learning principles to document training curriculum and develop trainee materials including; work instructions, end user guides, handouts, job aids, etc.
  • Work with trainers and make recommendations for improvements to address trainee performance gaps and implement solutions to address gaps
  • Manage the content on the IT Learning Hub to ensure it is up to date with end user training materials, presentations and additional support materials
  • Work with the IT Operations team to ensure changes to systems are reflected in updated training materials and SuperUsers and End Users are trained where required
  • Manage the training tracker to ensure compliance with Health Canada and other regulatory requirements

 

Change Management:

  • Support the evolution and adoption of change management best practices, methodology and culture across different business units
  • Drive success of IT initiatives across different divisions by participating in various community development and involvement activities (SteerCo, WC/LT etc.)
  • Oversee program/projects from a business readiness perspective and lead the risk assessment and mitigation for deployments
  • Manage the SuperUser communities and support system adoption and transition first level systems support to the business
  • Lead change management project deliverables to meet the needs of the stakeholders and drive successful adoption of change strategies

 

User Experience:

  • Drive the successful adoption of new business processes and systems using a strategic approach to build awareness, motivation, knowledge and ability among users and stakeholders throughout the project life cycle
  • Analyze risks and provide recommendations to applicable groups for processes and technology solutions to achieve business results
  • Engage appropriate stakeholders to identify and manage required outcomes of programs/projects for the business and mitigate concerns
  • Collaborate with management to ensure required resources are assigned to projects and best practices are upheld to elevate user experiences

 

As an experienced professional, you will have…

  • Post-secondary education in related field (Administration, Business, Computer Science, Economics, Technology or related) and PROSCI or other relevant change management certification
  • 10 years of working experience with large scale change management with ERP or other enterprise systems initiatives and leading teams (we would also welcome an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)
  • Previous experience managing projects involving multi-disciplinary teams, quick decision requirements and updates to executives in a fast-paced and complex environment
  • Advance technical experience developing communication, change management and training strategies equipped with proficiency with adult learning principles
  • Strong knowledge of MS applications, training tools, techniques and LM systems (Articulate, Captivate, or other)
