Job Summary
The Project Manager, 1ERP is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of assigned ERP workstreams, from initiation through stabilization, within the 1ERP program. This role ensures alignment between business requirements and system capabilities, supporting the design, implementation, and optimization of processes within the Sage X3 environment.
The position works closely with cross-functional stakeholders, IT, and external vendors to deliver projects on time, within scope and budget, and in accordance with program governance and regulatory requirements. As the Project Manager, 1ERP you will…
1ERP Project Delivery & Governance
- Lead end-to-end delivery of assigned 1ERP workstreams from initiation through stabilization.
- Partner with business stakeholders to define scope, objectives, and measurable outcomes aligned to 1ERP strategy.
- Develop and manage project charters, detailed plans, budgets, schedules, and resource forecasts.
- Maintain RAID logs and proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and aligned to program governance standards.
- Monitor cross-workstream dependencies and manage impacts across concurrent initiatives.
- Provide regular reporting to Program Leadership and SteerCo on status, risks, budget, and key milestones.
Business & Process Alignment
- Lead current and future-state process mapping workshops across cultivation, manufacturing, inventory, quality, and finance, working with a Business Analyst.
- Balance business requirements with system capabilities and technical constraints.
- Facilitate design and solution workshops to ensure scalable, standardized ERP configurations.
- Support development of functional specifications and oversee testing, validation, and deployment.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with external vendors and Aurora IT to coordinate deliverables, timelines, and compliance documentation.
- Establish and maintain structured meeting cadences with vendors, including weekly checkpoints, status reviews, and steering alignment.
- Participate in vendor onboarding, statement of work reviews, and performance management.
- Drive accountability across project teams and vendor partners to ensure high-quality delivery.
Compliance, Controls & Audit Support (EU & ANZ Focus)
- Ensure all 1ERP initiatives align with regulatory requirements applicable to EU and ANZ operations.
- Support documentation of internal controls, validation artifacts, and regulatory evidence.
- Partner with Quality, Compliance, and IT teams to ensure system configurations meet validation, traceability, and audit standards.
- Coordinate with vendors and Aurora IT to ensure required control documentation is prepared and retained.
- Maintain structured repositories of project documentation to support internal and external audit requests.
- Ensure change management, access controls, and data governance practices are adhered to within project scope.
Testing, Readiness & Adoption
- Oversee UAT planning, execution, and sign-off across global stakeholders.
- Support organizational change efforts including readiness assessments and training alignment.
- Ensure documentation, job aids, and training materials are delivered prior to go-live.
- Lead post-implementation reviews to assess stabilization, benefits realization, and lessons learned
You will be setup for success if you have…
- 5+ years of project management experience.
- 5+ years of business analysis experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing project estimates across varying levels of scope, complexity, and budget.
- Proven capability to manage both small and large-scale projects through all phases of delivery.
- Proven success delivering application-based projects from initiation through implementation.
- Experience working in a regulated manufacturing, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or consumer packaged goods environment.
- Familiarity with ERP Systems, quality management, or warehouse management systems.
- PMI Certification (PMP) is preferred.experience implementing or testing
- COSO control objectives with large public companies (1000+ employees, more than four physical locations, international presence, etc.)
Bonus points if you have…
- Proven ability to deliver clear and concise project documentation.
- Experience with supply chain methodology, process, procedures, and related systems.
- Experience with Business Intelligence and Data Science, Software and Application Development, and/or Infrastructure projects is considered an asset.
- Experience working in hybrid project environments, including waterfall and agile delivery models.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing business environment.
- Able to build a strong understanding across areas outside core competency, including Finance, Manufacturing, and Inventory Management.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of management, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong understanding of ERP architecture and enterprise systems
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable system solutions
- Financial acumen, including budget tracking and cost management
- Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities
- Experience managing global, cross-time-zone teams
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to guide project teams, remove obstacles, and manage project risks.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and facilitate effective collaboration among subject matter experts.
- Strong functional and/or technical understanding of project scope and related business processes.
- Demonstrated ability to forecast and plan resource requirements effectively.
