COMMERCIALIZATION MANAGER, MEDICAL

Aurora Cannabis is recruiting a Commercialization Manager to join our Medical Sales team in the fast-paced cannabis industry. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Medical Sales Strategy the successful candidate will be a key member of the team. The successful candidate will be capable of providing insights for product innovation strategy, product portfolio management, operational alignment on go-to-market planning and overall project timelines. Candidate may be based in either Toronto or Vancouver.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for a strategic product assortment plan based on nuanced analysis and competitive/market insights
  • Process driven management of product development and go-to-market activities
  • Develop business cases for product innovation or rationalization leveraging consumer-insights & financial projections
  • Be a highly visible and integral team member, working directly with Aurora’s management team to support growth objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product Development, and Operations
  • Analyze and build tools to assist in the on-going iteration and improvement of the product commercialization process  
  • Assess competitive landscape for product assortment positioning, new product launches, and ecommerce strategies
  • Innovate, explore, and test new ideas in an environment where creativity and experimentation are highly encouraged

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong project management and planning skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities involving multi-disciplinary teams operating in a fast-paced, innovation driven environment and see projects through to a successful completion
  • Passion for consumer insights and understanding market dynamics
  • Superior communication and business case skills that will enable you to influence internal and external decision makers
  • High level of professionalism, integrity and ethics
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated with a passion for problem-solving, enabling you to strategically tackle challenging situations in a complex and dynamic business environment
  • Cannabis subject matter expertise considered an asset

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field
  • 4-6 years of work experience in a Category Management, Sales, Analytics, or Project Management role
    • Cannabis & CPG industry experience is considered an asset
  • Experience in project management, analytics, and consumer insights
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Advanced experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Outlook, Projects, MS Teams)
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt; maintain focus and a high degree of accuracy while working with complex data in an environment of ever-changing deadlines, priorities, and requirements
