ERP FINANCE System Analyst

 

The ERP FINANCE System Analyst is a critical position supporting the ERP Project and Finance operations teams. The role includes:

  • Migrating acquired companies into Sage Enterprise Management (Sage EM, formerly known as Sage X3)
  • Fixed assets implementation
  • Identifying, testing and implementing improvements to core Finance processes
  • Providing end user Sage support and training to the Finance team

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Testing, implementing, training, and/ or supporting the implementation of Finance process improvements
  • Supporting Corporate and Operational Finance teams with system issues including trouble-shooting, testing and training
  • Subject matter expert and consult for all things ERP and finance process related
  • Mapping legacy chart of account structures to Aurora account structures
  • Migrating opening balances to Sage and maintaining records for audit
  • Responsible for fixed assets setup in Sage
  • Works with the Corporate and Operational Finance teams to support the Sage EM application including ongoing maintenance
  • Communicates with stakeholders (written and verbal) clearly to ensure support issues and project tasks are dealt with quickly and efficiently

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree plus some accounting experience/ training/certification
  • Prior experience configuring finance modules in ERP systems
  • 10 or more years of enterprise management, Sage, MS Dynamics, Oracle, or SAP experience
  • Finance experience and proven industry experience in a complex work environment preferably Manufacturing and logistics
  • Strategic thinker who has great vision for what can be done with the new ERP system and what efficiencies can be achieved
  • Experience working with companies with multi-currency and multi-country environment
  • 10 or more years experience driving finance process improvements
  • Must be able to clearly communicate with all levels of management, both verbally and in writing
  • Must be able to clearly define current processes with the intent of recommending future state
  • Must be able to collaborate effectively, get along with all personality types, self-manage schedules and deadlines
  • Proactive, energetic, and self-motivated with experience working in a very fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment
  • Must have intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness
  • Ability to take ownership for work
  • Hands-on and be able to roll up your sleeves to do the work.
  • Can work independently

 

 

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CPA, CMA, or MBA
  • Experience with Jira, Smartsheets, Lucid, SharePoint, and Teams a definite plus
  • Sage X3/Sage (other) experience a definite plus
