FINANCIAL ANALYST, FP&A (Corporate Shared Services)

This posting is for a Financial Analyst to support the Shared Services business functions to establish forecasts, monitor performance, develop KPIs, and build financial models and business cases. In addition, this person should be able to maintain a high-level and strategic mindset to assess the overall impact on the organization.

 

The scope of this role includes, but is not limited to, the following:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take initiative to establish relationships with Corporate Shared Services departments, financial reporting, and other relevant stakeholders to source data for financial models and forecasts;
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of financial planning and reporting infrastructure to support the Corporate Shared Services departments. Specifically:
    • Preparation of full financial forecast, including OPEX and headcount budgeting;
    • Provide monthly variance reporting to budget owners to monitor and evaluate performance against strategic initiatives;
    • Take ownership in ensuring appropriate accounting coding has been applied to the correct budget owners to ensure appropriate management reporting is communicated;
  • Develop and ensure company policies, procedures and controls are followed by the various operational and accounting personnel;
  • Assist in identifying and communicating process improvements to build a robust FP&A function.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Business decision support reporting, board decks, business performance, and other reporting requirements as needed;
  • Ad-hoc requests, project ownership, FP&A support to other internal clients as needed;
  • Assist with financial month-end close, which includes but not limited to accrual preparation, reclassifications, internal control requirements, etc.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or Finance;
  • CPA, MBA, or CFA is an asset;
  • 3 years of experience, preferably with a publicly traded company, global organization, public accounting firm, management consulting, or investment banking;
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and analytical reporting tools;
  • Experience with utilizing a multi-dimensional ERP system for management reporting;
  • Experience providing financial and analytical support to those outside the Finance function;
  • Strong business acumen and ability to gain a deep understanding of total business operations;
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively;
  • Experience with and preference for a fast-growing and evolving environment;
  • High-achieving, driven individual, who is motivated by career development opportunities.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiples task in a time sensitive manner
  • Excellent team player as well as the ability to work independently
  • Effective communication skills (written & verbal)
