Aurora Cannabis Inc. is currently recruiting for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at the Vancouver downtown office. Reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner, the HR Coordinator will be a key member of the HR team and contribute to the continuous roll out and improvement of our HR programs and services. The incumbent will be responsible for a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, the following:



  • Coordinate and participate in the full-cycle recruitment process by creating recruitment strategies, screening applications, conducting interviews, and preparing employment offers in collaboration with Hiring Managers
  • Provide best in class service to the organization in support of HR management
  • Proactively collaborate with team Managers to identify and plan for human resource needs to meet short and long-term business requirements
  • Ensure the efficient operations of the HR team by coordinating recruitment and onboarding activities such as facilitation of New Hire Orientation as needed
  • Provide consultation and advice to Managers on a variety of employee relations and human resource issues
  • Support the execution of human resource guidelines, policies and procedures that adhere to applicable legislation, regulations, etc.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the daily operations of the HR team
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and roll out of HR programs and services



  • Post-secondary diploma, degree, or certificate in Human Resources management or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
  • Minimum 1 – 2 years coordination and/or administrative experience in Human Resources
  • Good understanding and knowledge of human resources principles, best practices and applicable HR legislation
  • Proficiency with computer and computer applications including experience with HRIS (SuccessFactors) and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Keen attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and be flexible to manage changing priorities on short notice
  • Work effectively in an environment where professionalism, high degree of confidentiality, and sensitivity are of primary importance
  • Customer service orientated with proven ability to foster connections by putting people first and building trusting, effective relationships
  • Capable of handling change in a growing company and working from the ground up on systems and processes
  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, who is comfortable working independently and with a team
