IT SUPPORT

 

Aurora is recruiting for IT Support for our Vancouver office. The successful candidate for this role will report directly to the Director of IT Operations, and will be a strong addition to our growing team. Working with other IT team members in various locations, as well as dealing with other departments throughout the organization, strong communication skills are a must. As this is an evolving role, flexibility and the ability to accommodate and handle change is a must. Travel to Surrey and Burnaby is required so the successful candidate must have their own vehicle.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Configures and maintains all computers, (laptops and desktops) including provisioning through imaging from the network and manual install, and data backup and recovery
  • Ensures all computers are configured to meet the needs of employees within corporate policy
  • Setting up and updating employee signatures
  • Managing company servers
  • Managing the company’s electronic, digital, and cellular equipment and devices
  • Provides IT support for all computers and applications licensed by the company
  • Handles requests through a ticketing system and completes work orders
  • Monitors monthly cellular phone costs to minimize the over usage of data
  • Maintains quality process controls by following organization standards and policies.
  • Ensures all employees are in compliance with corporate IT policies and procedures
  • Participates in Global IT Projects
  • Adheres to organizational policies and procedures
  • Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary

 

Qualifications:

  • Certificate or College Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Systems Administration or related discipline
  • 1-2 years’ experience in IT
  • Previous experience with Apple products and Mac OS is preferred
  • Previous helpdesk experience is considered an asset
  • Experience with Google GSuite/Google Apps experience
  • Network troubleshooting experience
  • Wireless troubleshooting experience
  • Application troubleshooting experience
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset
