Aurora Cannabis Inc. is currently seeking an Senior Accountant to join their Corporate Finance team. Reporting to the Director Financial Shared Services, you will work collaboratively to support the Company’s business strategies as it relates to financial accounting, controls, and reporting. This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive team looking to take its next steps in transforming into a high-performing group.



  • Ensure the accurate accounting of all Payroll and Benefit Costs
  • Work on assigned month-end and quarter-end close duties by preparing accruals, adjusting entries, expense allocations, account and intercompany reconciliations, key continuity schedules 
  • Prepare and review journal entries as necessary.
  • Monitoring of schedules, and deadlines as well as coaching and mentoring junior staff
  • Assist with quarterly reviews and year-end audits to ensure compliance with SOX standards
  • Provide cross functional assistance to other teams to support new and ongoing business initiatives
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement on current processes and help implement new processes as required 
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as needed.


  • CPA designation (CA, CGA or CMA)
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience 
  • Public company accounting experience is preferred
  • Payroll and Benefit Accounting Experience
  • Financial Reporting and Share Based Compensation Experience
  • Experience in account reconciliations, preferably in settings with multiple entities across different currencies
  • Process-oriented
  • Effective time-management and prioritization skills in a deadline-driven environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills‬
  • Attention to detail with an analytical mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound business acumen
