Reporting to the Director, Demand and Sales Operations, the Senior Manager, Demand Planning will support our exponential sales growth by giving guidance to what products and markets the company should pursue to maximize opportunities.  This individual will be responsible for ensuring the company’s operational readiness through the leading the communication of these opportunities and driving actions to realize them.  The individual needs to have a strong sense of urgency, internal collaboration, and teamwork.  They will be accountable for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the demand planning processes and systems. 




  • Oversee the demand planning processes for all products and all markets. 

  • Lead the team to develop demand forecasts, manufacturing requirements, inventory targets and strategies at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons 

  • Create statistical models: gather/analyze and validate data, review sales trends, research demand drivers, execute modeling, challenge results, apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting, summarize/aggregate statistical forecasts 

  • Give direction on cannabis allocation strategy, deciding on how best to deploy cannabis across markets, channels, categories, and sku’s.  

  • Lead allocations to maximise revenue, margin, increase Brand value and achieve strategic targets. 

  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions 

  • Interact with Sales, Marketing, and Customers to obtain and understand demand forecast drivers to ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts 

  • Guide analytics to find trends and opportunities for the business to capitalize on. 

  • Create SOP’s for department. 

  • Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool 

  • Provide input to the Production Planning team to develop manufacturing and inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs 

  • Create value for the Sales, Operations and Marketing teams through learning about needs and providing solutions. 




  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and modelling methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts. 

  • Strong ability to turn data, guide research and think outside of the box to finding opportunities. 

  • Broad knowledge and excellent understanding of business intelligence concepts and common business functions and practices, including supply chain, inventory management, and customer service. 

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt; maintain focus with a high degree of accuracy while working with complex data in an environment of ever-changing deadlines, priorities and requirements. 

  • Strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills. 

  • Strong facilitation skills are required. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process. 

  • Self-motivated, solid time management. 

  • Strong computer skills – including excel (e.g., Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, linking, macros, etc.) 




  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a similar role within a global rapidly growing CPG company. 

  • 7+ years in planning and allocation roles within a large, complex commercial goods company 

  • Demonstrated track record of growing revenue, identify strategic opportunities, developing and drive business strategy. 

  • Experience using ERP & Demand Planning systems – Sage, SAP, Logility or other software related to demand planning is a must. 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, or relevant discipline.
