SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCE

 

Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Vice President, Finance will provide global leadership and coordination of company’s core financial functions, including planning and budget management, tax, treasury, public company reporting, internal controls, procurement, and financial services (accounts payable, accounts receivable).  The SVP Finance will hire, develop and mentor, and lead a talented and motivated team and will continue to build the capacity, processes, and capabilities to provide timely, relevant and sound strategic and financial information and services. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and provide oversight for the financial operations of the organization
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with senior operating managers within the company to provide assistance in identification and development of appropriate financial solutions to operational issues.
  • Oversight of complex audit and compliance requirements, early identification of issues that should be cleared with auditors and tax advisors.
  • Work with department leaders to understand revenue and cost drivers, building appropriate reports for performance tracking.
  • Enhance the finance team’s ability to deliver value-added insights via proficient data analysis, data capture and utility.
  • Establish short- and long-range department goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Lead and present tax reporting and other relevant financial statements and reports.
  • Participate in capital expenditure due diligence, governance and oversight over large transactions.
  • Provide strategic input on financing options to support continued company growth and act as a key stakeholder in relationships with lending/financial institutions.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Analyze and present the company's monthly, quarterly and annual financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets.
  • Build a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates the team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.
  • Improve processes through automation and adoption of new tools and technology.
  • Coordinate and conduct financial internal and external audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

  • University Degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
  • CPA, CA designation with a minimum of 10 years of post-qualification senior level experience in a rapidly growing global company and industry. 
  • Public company reporting experience.
  • Experience managing a multi-disciplinary team in a global organization is an important differentiator.
  • ERP business intelligence experience is also an important asset
